At 45 *C the sun is burning our dry and dusty skin. Two hours after we left Hakkari and two speedy lifts at 130 km/h on serpentine mountain roads we are now at the small Esendere-Sero border between Turkey and Iran. It's a bunch of houses and a parking with trucks in the middle of nowhere. The small shop doesn't sell water. The exchange rates are lousy. The Turkey leg of our trip ends here.
